on December 5, 2025, you will have the opportunity to take an exciting excursion behind the scenes at ZDF in Mainz.
In the morning, you will enjoy an exclusive tour of the broadcasting center with insights into the workflows of a large media company – which is of course particularly exciting for anyone interested in media, communication, and language in a professional context. In the afternoon, there will be a visit to ZDF Digital. Since 2000, this ZDF subsidiary has been producing innovative and sophisticated multimedia productions for national and international clients. Furthermore, ZDF Digital offers interesting opportunities for students in the field of cultural and media translation, for example in timecode subtitling.
Departure is scheduled for 8 a.m., with return at approximately 5:30 p.m. We will be traveling together by coach from the Germersheim campus. Participants will be informed about the exact meeting point in time. The excursion in Mainz will take place from 10 a.m. to around 4 p.m. A lunch break is scheduled on the campus of Mainz University.
The participation fee is 10€. Unfortunately, meals are not included.
There are a total of 28 places available – so be quick to register!
To register, please enter your first and last name and your address in the corresponding list in the ASTT office (A.145). You can do this on Mondays and Tuesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. Please bring your ID card with you on the day of the excursion. The registration deadline is November 25, 2025.
